Charlie: We have a question from Sohn in Aleaf. He has a house that has Hardie on three sides. He’s wondering, “Can I replace it with bricks?”
Tom: The problem with that is, you don’t have a brick ledge that was poured into the foundation. There are methods to do it, but they become so difficult to do, and expensive. I would not recommend it to anybody. Hardie is a good product. If you want a brick look, I guess you could look at brick veneer, but I don’t know if I would recommend that, because of being exposed to the whether, most brick veneer products are used on the inside around fireplaces, and as decorative areas.
Charlie: So, no.
Tom: No, I wouldn’t do it. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.
Charlie: Okay.
