Charlie: Jenny in Missouri city wants to know who would go under her house to repair a plumbing leak in a pipe in a 40 year old home. It had to have tree roots taken care of because the leak got in there and all that and they want to make sure that they get somebody they can trust to go do this.
Tom: Well, I know who’s not and that’s me. Yeah.
Charlie: When you first started Du-West, had you go onto one of the houses?
Tom: Yeah, I went about three feet turned around and started screaming like a four year old. If it’s a tunneling issue like we’re king of joking about, Du-West Foundation Repair. If it’s a pier and beam home, because she said 40 years old so I’m not sure what kind of home she has, then you would just call a plumber and Abacus has guys who will go under there and fix it, so those are your two options.
Charlie: Abacus could also tunnel under to fix a plumbing problem too.
Tom: Yeah.
Charlie: If she doesn’t have a foundation problem, they’d tunnel on as well.
Tom: They do. A lot of plumbers do but the only thing I’m concerned about and everybody can make their own decision.
Charlie: True.
Tom: Once you tunnel under there, if you don’t support the slab with some kind of foundation support, it could be a problem down the road, not necessarily will it be, it depends how deep they have to go and things like that. If it’s a short tunnel, fine. If it’s a long tunnel, I just assume have Du-West drive some pilings down along the side of the tunnel and that’s what they do.
