Charlie: Dianne in Pasadena has a question for us, Tom. She wants to know … she says she has yard moths.
Tom: Yes. I do too. So do four of my neighbors and a couple of my friends. Do you Charlie? Have you walked around your yard?
Podcast: Play in new window
Charlie: No.
Tom: Okay. I want you to.
Charlie: But I will tell you, Sandy, my wife Sandy went out and laid such toxic waste against them last year that I think it probably. My lawn’s having a nuclear winter.
Tom: Well, we’ll see.
Charlie: No. She heard recommended treatment with both granules and spray. She wants to know do you recommend Bifen or both? Do the granule go on first? What’s your advice on fixing this?
Tom: A lot of treatment, first off, it’s the sod web worms and they are back. In fact, we did a story last year and it was filmed with a high tech film crew running around. That was Chris in my back yard. You don’t even remember do you?
Charlie: No, I do remember.
Tom: The moth pictures.
Charlie: Yeah. I remember you got some in my yard too.
Tom: Okay. Anyway, Mary from RCW said you will have them next year too. People need it. It’s about a three year period. I’m not sure about the treatment. Soon as I got them I called my yardman and said, “Get out here. I do not want to lose my grass again.” But I would tell you this call RCW Nurseries and they will give you that advice right over the phone.
Charlie: You don’t have to do that.
Tom: No to get the granules or the spray.
Charlie: You can get the supplies here but-
Tom: Yeah and they’ll give you the advice.
Charlie: But you can get the recipe, if you will, the step by step in that video. It’s on HomeShow Radio.
Tom: Oh well that’s from- okay
Charlie: And I’ll tell you what. I’ll make a note right here. I’ll tell you what we’re going to do. That bad boy has been pushed up to our front page.
Tom: It needs to. This is going to be bad again.
Charlie: It’s going to be bad.
Tom: It’s bad right now.
Charlie: Not good.
