Charlie:
Greg from Bear Creek writes to us, ‘We’re building a house, and with that we’ll rely on well water, Tom. What kind of ‘water’ filtration system should we get?”
Podcast: Play in new window
Tom:
First off, this is the perfect … People are starting to build again.
Charlie:
Amen.
Tom:
Things have really come around. I love this, our first question kind of this year, building a new house. Yay! That’s done with. Now, filtration systems, I don’t know except probably going to need a water softener. I don’t know if you have iron in your water so what you want to do is drill, test, and then get with an expert like John at Aquatex, and let them come up with a system. Do you have sediment? You will certainly probably want to soften it. Do you have a metal content like iron content? Where they’re going to have to have a special system to pull the iron out. If you don’t, all your toilets and sinks and stuff will turn this ugly red. That’s something that happens depending how deep you drill and what part of town you’re in. Every part of town is different, one size does not fit all.
Charlie:
Unless of course it’s choosing the Home Show pro to help you with that which would be John at Aquatex.
Tom:
That’s right, Aquatex.
Charlie:
He’s the one size fits all kind of guy.
Tom:
Well, you’ve got to go to the right people and they’re going to tell you what you need to do. All I can do is I guide people to the right places.
Charlie:
Right.
Tom:
Because we do the research here. We know who will help you with the specifics.
