We purchased solar screens a year ago and have noticed our windows from rain and water have spotted.
It is extremely hard to clean or remove these water spots. Can you help me with this problem? Do you know of a product I can use to clean the water spots off the windows?
Susan
Tom’s Answer:
Podcast: Play in new window
Tom: Now, you have to clean the windows.
Charlie: Right.
Tom: That means you have to take the screens off, clean the windows…if they flip in, clean them. Here’s a little extra. To ward off future spots, Rain-X, that we use on cars.
Charlie: Oh, yeah.
Tom: See, that just hit me there. You can do that on shower doors, you can do it on car windshields. We used to do it on the antique…if you ever had a Model-A Ford, and you had the one wiper going “Ding, ding, ding, ding.”
Charlie: I love my Model-A Ford.
Tom: No, on my truck, I had one. We used to do shows, but the Rain-X really does help when you get stuck in the rain.
Charlie: You’ve been home improving a long time, Tom, but not long enough to have been there when you got your Model-A, new.
Tom: No, but you’ve got to remember, my dad is the president of the Model-A Ford Club of America. So I’m going to have some exposure to it.
