I have recently installed a porcelain tile floor that has the look of wood in my house. I didn’t realize that it would be so dull in appearance. Is there anything that I can put on the tile to give it a sheen? Also, that would be maintenance free.
Thank you for your help.

Tom: There really is not and that question actually has been asked many times…
Charlie: Has it?
Tom: …Over the years on this show because people put down the tile and it doesn’t appear the way they thought it would appear.
Charlie: Mm-hmm. (affirmative)
Tom: They want to change the appearance and you can’t.
Charlie: Right.
Tom: A tile is a tile. It’s just like buying a plate that you eat off of. You’re not gonna make it shinier no matter how much you scrub it.
Charlie: It is what it is.
Tom: It is and I still have the mixed emotions. Wood is wood, tile is tile.
Charlie: Right.
Tom: To me, that appears to me freaks out.
Charlie: I think it looks nice.
Tom: It’s fine.
Charlie: It’s like, I think about hardwood floor where you’re really gonna sense a hardwood floor as barefoot walking on it and I know that porcelain tile will not feel like I’m walking on wood.
Tom: No, and this question actually brings the point is, she thought it would look like a nice shiny wood floor. It has a wood grain, it has a tile durability, but to doesn’t have the look that she wanted. She wanted a wood look.
Charlie: Yeah.
Tom: So get wood.
