My Wife wants to convert from a stand alone fridge to a built in. Will require cabinet modification. Apparently the job is too small and I can’t find a contractor. No one returned my call after describing the job. Can you recommend anyone?

Tom: Well, a couple of things I don’t know so I’m just going to go a couple of directions here. If they buy it from, say Steven at Nor-West Appliance, he will arrange to have his installers make those modifications, and put it in. For people who want to do this kind of work, it’s always best to buy it from the people who will also install it.
Now, a lot of people are stubborn. They go online. They go to different places.
Charlie: Mm-hmm (affirmative)
Tom: They get the deal. They see it on the side of the road. They put it in the back of the pick-up when nobody’s looking, and they bring it home. Then they say, “I’m going to install this thing.”
Charlie: Is it a roadkill fridge? Is that what you’re saying?
Tom: That’s what I’m saying.
Charlie: Okay.
Tom: All I can tell you is I don’t know how small or big it is, there are people who will install appliances. You can start by calling Steven and see if he can give you a name of one of his guys that’ll come do it on the side.
Charlie: Mm-hmm (affirmative) Possible.
Tom: Or maybe some other people, some of the independent appliance companies will maybe go in and install it for you also. The other group of people that you can call are people who repair appliances. A lot of them will do installs for you, that when you don’t buy it, because they’re not into selling the stuff, they’re into repairing and installing.
