I heard part of a question on your show this weekend about those gaps between the slabs in your driveway. Our wood is rotted and the weeds drive my husband crazy. What is the best solution to filling them? He tried some sort of gasket but it was incredibly expensive. His next idea is “quickcrete” but don’t the slabs need room for expansion? What is your best economical advice?

Tom: I think that’s probably the first question ever got on this show 27 years ago and there’s a few people who come up with some different solutions none of them I think worth spending your time or money on. Don’t worry about it.
Charlie: Seriously so if that wood comes up and out of there just leave the gap? Put some round up and move on?
Tom: Would you like to go see my driveway I have no wood in my cracks.
Charlie: Had my [inaudible 00:00:25] this week, we’re moving on all right Ray is …
Tom: But it’s true I haven’t done anything with mine.
Charlie: Yes we’re trying to keep this is a family show.
