My problem is that we have horrible air balance in our house.
I moved into a 2 story house about 3 years ago. It was built in 1969 and had a new HVAC system installed less than 5 years ago. We have one unit for the whole house. I have been up in the attic and can find dampers for the upstairs bedrooms that I can use to help the situation a bit when we switch to heat, but I can never get the air balance right thoughout the year. My question is would retrofitting a zoning system be a practical solution and if so what kind of expense would I be looking at for 3 or 4 zones? What options do I have to fix this problem on a tight budget?
