Charlie: Mary Ann, she has a 30 year old fiberglass pool. They drained it. They found some tears in it, and now it needs to be repaired. She’s gotten the runaround from one company, so she’s looking for one she can trust.
Tom: I don’t have tons of experience with fiberglass. Fiberglass pools are like the mobile home of swimming pools. If you’re going to do one, do a gunite.
Podcast: Play in new window
Charlie: No offense, Mary Ann.
Tom: For you, you don’t want any at all, but you want the pool, you would have had sea. It’s called grass.
Charlie: Yes. I love that pool.
Tom: That’s the pool you want. Anyway, I don’t even know if they can be fixed. I guess there might be some repair kits you can use in them. The only thing I can do is call Watts, and see if they even know somebody, or maybe they do remodel. I know they remodel pools, and that pool could be remodeled. If it’s just a simple repair, it might just be your pool man to do it, or call them and see if they have a referral, if they don’t do it themselves.
