What is your opinion of the “Power Saver 1200” for electric usage savings?
Katherine
Tom: I am familiar with it. It’s a, supposedly, some kind of capacitor thing, yes.
Charlie: That is going to save you money.
Tom: No …
Charlie: What do you think?
Tom: Don’t get into all that stuff, please. Best way you can save money is to go to powertochoose.org and get a good energy provider that’s going to charge you 8 cents a kilowatt hour not 16, but stay away from any of these gizmos and gadgets. They come and they go. We can take you all the way back to the green plug if any of you remember that. It’s going to save you millions of dollars on your refrigerator.
Charlie: Right.
Tom: OK. It just, don’t do that.
Charlie: I mean these things have some application in a commercial setting like a skyscraper.
Tom: Oh, yeah, but that’s different. Well, and it’s not that particular product either. It’s the concept that would be used in a different situation. But, it’s not much different than the magnets on your car to double your gas mileage. Remember that one in the 70’s?
